Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information The Lucky Lighthouse ("Lighthouse", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to theluckylighthouse.com and the Lighthouse workspace at /app/.
Last updated: April 2026
1. Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to provide and improve the workspace.
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password (or the identifier provided by your sign-in provider).
- Workspace content. Clients, research items, tasks, notes, and related data you create are stored on your behalf and scoped to your account.
- Usage data. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request paths, timestamps) used to operate, secure, and debug the service.
- Cookies. We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. How we use information
- To authenticate you and keep your workspace data scoped to your account.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the service.
- To respond to support requests you send us.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your workspace content to train machine-learning models.
3. How we share information
We share information only with service providers who help us run the product (for example, our hosting provider, database provider, and email/authentication provider). These providers are bound by contract to use the information only to provide services to us.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of users, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition.
4. Data retention
We retain account and workspace data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or security purposes.
5. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, and we scope all workspace data to its owning account at the database layer. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk and respond quickly to issues.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, email us using the contact details below. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
7. International users
Lighthouse is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and other countries that may have different data-protection laws.
8. Children
Lighthouse is intended for professional use and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice (for example, by email or an in-product notice).
